Pondering Poet: prompts for the curious mind
I love the flow of poetry. It is one of my favorite ways to gauge my openness and presence. Because who really talks like this outloud?
Poetry is philosophical and provoking. It is aloof and connecting. There is so much spaciousness to it. While also, the essence is largely a digestion. How am I, the poet, “x” my own life?
In poetry, metaphors are a hot commodity, obviously, because we can get away with that. Say something to grasp the feeling of it, not to make sense. It is great! And, maybe the logic (or acceptance and trust!) will come the more you pause with your own words.
I now introduce you to, Pondering Poet. A new series I want to create to share more poems. My intention is to get you thinking - pause, reflect and wonder - and notice how it feels in your body. Please share any feedback or reflections -- I always love when you do!
Me as a poet tends to reside in the cave of sages and shamans. She is deep and reflective. Existential and reflective. Not always but you’ll see what I mean.
For today's poems, I will share three. They are posted below.
Love, your oracle delivery

It was never a matter
of who I love
more so,
who is me?

the offering is not single-use,
it is a gift
a chain of impact,
keep passing it along

Maybe,
money has the same frequency to fire
because,
it desires to burn.
